Steel is checked against the mill certificate for grade and thickness. Axles, suspension and landing gear are checked against the supplier's certificate and for obvious transit damage.
Weld seams are visually inspected and the frame is measured for squareness after welding. Anything out of tolerance is corrected before the body goes on.
Brakes, lights and the landing gear are function-tested. The unit is measured against the drawing one last time and photographed from six angles.
